How To Draw Eiichiro Oda Style

Yo! How's it going peeps! I'one thousand here bringing you lot a post on (insert title here). Sorry for non posting for so long, I was decorated writing my book, helping others with the their work and getting some art ready for y'all. Now without further ado, let's talk about the keen works of one of, if not the, greatest mangaka of all time, Eiichiro Oda!

The Keen Female person Torso

Beauty

If I was to exist asked what I similar about Oda's art the almost, my respond would exist the grills. He is quite talented and the method he uses to depict them is quite simple. What he does is he draws "3 Circles, one 10" :copyright: . He uses 2 circles for the breasts and then 1 circumvolve for the caput. He so adds the X under the breasts, connected to the middle border of the circumvolve. This is the layout for the trunk. So yous brand the body more realistic by curving the Ten a bit and erasing nigh of the X. Go along the circle used for the head a chip college than the breasts considering you still demand to add a neck. And then add in the features (hair, eyes, face up, wearing apparel, artillery, etc)

Many of you might have doubts that this actually works because y'all might've tried information technology or what not. I'd but like to say that I've tried information technology and it works wonders. Y'all only have to retrieve that this is just a layout, the Ten and the O's tin can be stretched or whatsoever as much equally your heart desires. After yous know this you can manipulate the X and O's to your favor to draw beautiful grills.

The Tools of Vision

Yeah, if you don't know what the tool of vision is, it's your eye. Or the middle in general. Most people hate on Oda for cartoon "circumvolve eyes" but you lot gotta think for a moment well-nigh how much detail he puts into everything else, and then much detail that the eyes shouldn't even thing! The eyes fit in perfectly with each graphic symbol. Luffy has one of the most round eyes in the series which shows his simplicity, or that he'due south non too special, which shows that anyone tin can achieve their dreams.

Elementary, unproblematic eyes

Or information technology just shows Oda'south laziness but I call back I'll go with the first choice. Tony Tony Chopper likewise has very round eyes and that'southward to testify how innocent and beautiful he is. Circular eyes really bring out the cuteness in characters :ok_hand: . Nico Robin is a more complicated character which is why she has more than complicated optics, Sanji has a badass side and a perv side, with just one showing at every indicate in fourth dimension which is why 1 middle is shown and the other is "behind the curtain."

The Van Gogh of Manga

Oda-sensei is one of the near detailed mangakas I have e'er known. The amount of piece of work he puts into each console is merely heed blowing! And to go each affiliate out within the short timeframe of a week? I tin can't fifty-fifty become a blog out in that time :joy: . Of course, with all this work on his shoulders he must have a few hiatus'due south a twelvemonth which fans like myself go insane over simply nosotros take to deal with it. Wow I got sidetracked...

Back to the actual topic, his detail is fabled. Take y'all seen some character designs? Have you lot seen the buildings? Have y'all seen the Yard Sunny? Accept you seen the burning of the Going Merry? Have y'all seen Gear quaternary?? Then much detail, such a nice touch to it. He makes it absolutely stunning, notwithstanding non also flashy. Oda-sensei is just non human. #HailGOda

At present you might recollect "well at the introduction of a graphic symbol he makes them look all fancy but every bit the character gets more than screen fourth dimension, the quality will go down." This isn't truthful for the manga, but sadly it is for the anime. Information technology's virtually noticeable with Nami or Franky during the timeskip. That is the most obvious one. Damn it Toei, why must you do dis? Oda is insanely consistent with his drawings, keeping every detail the same. For case, Doflamingo was an improvident character with an even more detailed design. Still he maintained the same look throughout the whole Dressrosa Arc, even in the fight scenes. This is another observation that pb me to the theory that Oda isn't human being.

Look at that shading :scream:

Someone I think that will get less detailed as fourth dimension goes by is Kaido. This guy has then much going on on his body itself, information technology's gonna exist hard to implement this into fight scenes.

Looks Evidence Personality

Let's take a pace towards the enemies of the show. Blackbeard. He looked sinister as hell pretimeskip, so I can't wait to see what he'll look similar postal service. He looks so evil he merely has to be 1 of the main antagonists of the show. His muddy looks testify that he tin can exist quite messed upward in the mind. On the other mitt, Coby looks squeamish and clean which can bear witness his sense of justice. Crocodile is depicted with a cigar, slick backed hair, and a arctic look on his face. This obviously means he'due south a bad guy, and a damn practiced one too.

I asked my bud shVnks to tell me his opinions on Oda's Art style. This is what he has to say:

"Overall, Oda is a great mangaka. I'm really pretty sure Oda could draw a lot more detailed as seen in many of his chapters (Kaido, Whitebeard, new locations). But for 1 Piece the art is purposefully "goofy" since in the end, it is a shōnen. And plus information technology'due south a swell one-act piece as well. The art mode is supposed to be "unique." With all that, for the purpose of One Piece, Oda is a mastermind in cartoon and execution of scenes and portraying exactly what is going on in his mind. It'south a story that's easy to follow which yous can apace abound to like."

Nice task bro :+1: appreciate your help

Side by side upwardly is...

Sukey :womans_hat:

Sukey :raised_hands: :raised_hands:

I also asked my newfound friend Sukey on her opinions of One Piece art. Her respond was...

"I dear it, but my start time seeing it I was a piddling unsure but gave it a try. I wasn't completely focused on the style when I got into the story. But when I saw the new styles I focused on the art more than."

After a short interruption she finished up past saying:

"I would say the story is balanced with the fine art style. It's an original art style that Oda created. He gets ideas from whatever inspires him and so he draws it. He can visualize anything anime related to One Piece. He tin can utilise his imagination by visualizing realistic things into anime. He tries hard to match everything for the characters like colors, personality, and scars or whatever that matches the grapheme itself. Oda has created an anime no other person can by using Anti-realistic visualizations to create things in an anime that no one has thought of similar devil fruits, different kinds of powers that were unheard of, personality that no other character has, and an fine art style that's different than other anime."

And then I asked...

She said:

"I really like it a lot. Not my favourite just I don't hate it."

On that note, I'd similar to begin to wrap this up! Thanks for reading anybody! Sad for making it so long merely I wanted my exam for Vermilion Art to be the best it can perhaps be.

:skull: Do you lot concur with my opinions and the opinions of others in this mail service?

:skull: Exercise yous like Oda's Fine art style?

:skull: Take y'all always fatigued someone using the 3 O's, 1 10 or will you in the future?

:skull: Do you think Elmo will accept me? (Don't respond that  )

And with those last words, I'm out! Until adjacent time!

Update! I'yard not gonna say thanks to anybody for the back up, because Pavi Empire was the person who promoted this to featured. Thank you Pavi. Dear ya!

(Ps: thanks for the watches everyone else)
